The Rialto is a big attraction in town, as it shows the latest and greatest pictures. This week; Guys and Dolls, starring Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons and Frank Sinatra.
Make sure you get there early because it does start promptly.

I like the old movie theatres also. I want to do more. Yours is great. There is something very nostalgic about old movie houses and their neat marquees.
It certainly is very different from the Rialto on Park Avenue. I love yours. The perspective is excellent especially the lamposts which shows the depth relationships. Keep them comming Love Sharkie.
Terry; Thanks, I confess to using a little poetic license (supposedly that is how we define our individuality, (ha ha)), in actuality the marquee was entirely done as a bas relief no deeper than two or three inches and the theatre is not more than 10 years old, but I sketched and painted it as I remember theatre marquees to be; 15-30 feet deep, grand awnings that you could wait under particularly when caught in a rain storm and so on.
Sha~; A critique too you've become! Truth is I am glad you like the perspective; the sketch was drawn from a park bench across the street. I know that before I can distort the perspective for artistic reasons, I have to become proficient at technically accurate design, (sounds like Einstein theory) at any rate, thanks for the complement, I love to hear from you.
